Those watching the Colorado gubernatorial debate Tuesday were surprised to learn that Gov. John Hickenlooper had no regrets over the gun control legislation that led to a “total recall” of Democrats in the state, but Hickenlooper’s opening question was absolutely predictable.

Also predictable: the pro-choice crowd crowing over birth control.

@bobbeauprez is against abortifacients but then can't actually say what they are. Ok Bob. Ok. #copolitics #prochoice #GOPcantfoolme

.@NARALColorado In case you needed help: I know you throw it all under the "birth control" umbrella @bobbeauprez

Never mind the dictionary, women’s reproductive rights are at stake.

@okmaher @bobbeauprez Oh no we know what they are, Bob seems a bit confused. #copolitics

I can't even RT @ShannonFender: beauprez says an IUD is an abortifacient. Wow. #copolitics

— Pat Dennis (@patdennis) October 1, 2014

Clearly @bobbeauprez is not the choice for women. An IUD is NOT an abortifacient #copolitics

Because RWNJs can only see things in black and white and our governor sees nuance and complexity. Is an IUD an abortifacient @okmaher? #COGov

— Charles Buchanan (@CRobertBuchanan) October 1, 2014

Out: the dictionary; In: “nuance and complexity.”

Looking forward to screaming about extremism and birth control. Because that's all they got. #cogov #copolitics

You’ve got it. Always.
