I Don’t Think I’ve Ever Cried This Hard. And It Was Just A 15 Year Old Boy’s Words That Did It.
Davion Navar Henry Only was born while his mother was in prison. He just learned in June that she passed away. Now, he is truly alone in the world. He bounced between foster homes growing up… now, he just wants a place to rest his head.
He approached worshippers at Florida’s St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, hoping to find a parent.
Davion has never known a true home. He has shared rooms, bathrooms and he has lived in countless houses.
He earns As, he provides for himself and the only thing he wants is a safe place to sleep at night.
So he decided to approach a church. He stood in front of the congregation and begged: “I’ll take anyone. Old or young, dad or mom, black, white, purple. I don’t care. And I would be really appreciative. The best I could be.”
He will be 18 in a few short years, but he is all alone and he wants that to stop.
We hope that Davion finds the answer he is looking for. Until then, stay strong.
Please share this story and help him find a home.
